The folk group Luz dos Candeeiros from Portugal visits Menorca

The "XII Trobada Folklòrica Tardor 2003" will group musicians and dancers from Ciutadella, Capdepera and Portugal.

This weekend the members of the Rancho Folclórico Luz dos Candeeiros folk group will arrive on Menorca from Portugal, to take part in a folk exchange organised by the Arrels de Sant Joan folk group from Ciutadella. The group Castell de Capdepera (Mallorca) will also participate in this meeting.

The main objective of the visit of these two groups is the "XII Trobada Folklòrica Tardor 2003" that will be held in the Teatre Municipal des Born in Ciutadella, on Saturday, October 18 at 7 p.m. But taking advantage of their visit to the island, the two guest groups will perform at the sports centre of Es Mercadal, the day before, Friday, October 17, at 9 p.m.

The two performances have free entrance, thanks to the collaboration of the Ciutadella Town Council and the Es Mercadal Town Council.
