New web of the Friends of the Sea of Menorca

Dedicated to spreading and conserving the maritime heritage of Menorca.

The association Amics de la Mar de Menorca (Friends of the Sea of Menorca) has published its web site: www.amicsdelamar.com. The association is committed to spreading and conserving the maritime heritage of the island of Menorca, particularly the traditional wooden boats called "bots" or "llaüts" and lateen rig.

The new web site includes information and contact details of the association, as well as their activity calendar with lateen rig courses and gatherings. Moreover it gives information about knots, kinds of boats, sailing ways and other subjects that show the great historical and linguistic value of the traditional maritime heritage.
