Day of Menorca

The Day of Menorca coincides with the festivity of Sant Antoni, patron saint of the island.

Next Tuesday, January 17, the Diada del Poble de Menorca will be held, an institutional event that has been celebrated in all the towns of the island since 1982 to commemorate the Menorcan conquest by King Alfons, in 1287.

From January 12 to 21, there will be activities in all the municipalities of the island organised by the Insular Council of Menorca and the Town Councils.

Amongst other activities, worth stressing are the concerts of traditional music and the popular sports activities that will be held around the island. As for the activities that will be held in Ciutadella, do not miss the the traditional procession of "Els Tres Tocs", on Tuesday, January 17.
